  • Nov. 14th: A roof over my head! It’s boggles my brain at times to think of all the people that can’t say the same thing. our house isn’t anything fancy, but it’s exactly what we need. It’s perfect for us. Even with that, we are getting ready to move, trying to at least. Not that we don’t love it any more, but trying to get moved 40-45 mins east closer to my family. Prayers for that! I’ll keep you posted!
  • Nov. 15th: Food on our table! We have been in some very tight finacial situations and have never gone a day without food! Thank you Lord!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge #36

Which Way is a term taken from a photo group Cee hosted a few years ago. This challenge subject is all about capturing the roads, walks, trails, rails, we move from one place to another. You can walk on them, climb them, drive them, ride them, as long as the way is visible. (Taken from Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge)

The Celebrating: For Britainy!

This past Sunday Aug. 10th we celebrated my niece Britainy’s 29th birthday which was on the 7th! Each person on their birthday get’s to pick their meal and their “cake”.

Britainy requested “Grandpa burgers”, (which usually the grandkids do), Bob Evan’s mac and cheese, jalapeno & cheddar mets and a dirt cake!  The rest of the meal she didn’t care.

“Grandpa burgers” are sirloin patties from a local market near my parent’s, Lehr’s Prime Market” and grilled with another local’s, Montgomery Inn, bbq sauce on them!  Then topped with cheese, if you want, and whatever toppings you like! Nothing fancy, but very delicious!

I got a little sidetracked again, so I didn’t get a lot of pictures but here’s a few!

Usually after our meal we do presents then cake! Today Finley was wanting “cake” so bad we went ahead and did the candles, singing and eating cake first!

Of course Britainy needed help with the candles! Left to right: her sister Avery, her daughter Finley, Britainy and her cousin Janie!

Nice Gift

Our neighbor dropped off a ball canning jar full of homemade granola on our porch with a lovely note. “Thanks for being such a good neighbor. Enjoy (I hope) the granola. PS – It’s a girl! T… (her daughter just had a little girl last week).

Wasn’t that really nice! It’s yummy too!
